I am an organic farmer in the Coe Hill area. This is my fifth year of raising happy pigs, goats and chickens, as well as growing field crops and garden vegetables. I started selling my farm products at a Saturday farmers market in Coe Hill a couple of years ago, and I have been doing farm gate sales, but when I saw that the former FoodMart building in central Coe Hill was for sale, I knew I had to buy it and develop this critically important part of the local economy. With the help of an amazing group of community-minded volunteers, and some excellent local contractors, The Coe Hill Grocery Store was created. My mission is to prioritize local products to support small farmers and gardeners, to minimize the distance our food travelled, reducing environmental impacts and bring healthy seasonal and organic food to consumers. We look forward to growing with the advice of the community.
